David Cook is the Ultimate American Idol Winner

The judges loved David Archuleta's performance. I mean why not. The young guy is spectacular. While I thought my bet will be ultimate champion, the final American Idol results is surprising.

On the finale of the 7th American Idol Season, David Archuleta gave the best performance. Hail young David! But but but (a lot of buts) David Cook, the 25 year old rocker from Blue Springs Mo., was proclaimed the ultimate American Idol winner. He garnered a total of 56% of the 97.5 million votes cast following tuesday's performances. David Cook defeated the 17 year old David Archuleta by a meager vote of 6%.

I am saddened by this result. I love David Archuleta. But could it be because David Cook is more manly and better hunk, yummylicious looking that he got most of the ladies and gays' attention and votes?! So alright, David Cook got the talent, no doubt but the looks could have contributed a lot to the decision, right!

Anyways, young David has proven what he's got! We shall still be seeing a lot of these two Davids!

David Archuleta Wins American Idol In Finale Performances(Judges Decision)

My Predictions are right. I knew David Archuleta will win.He was superb beating David Cook but this will be finalized when all the votes are counted.

David Archuleta's first song was "Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me". IT's an Elton John song selected for him by Andrew Lloyd Webber. The judges described his performance as beautiful and a stunning performance,nothwithstanding the fact that earlier to that they called David Cook's performance as "phenomenal". The judges called the evening as knock-out in favor of Archuleta.

In the second round of songs, Simon gave the round to David Archuleta for his rendition of "In this Moment" against David Cook's "Dream Big.


For the third round, Archuleta went back to the song that cemented him as a favorite earlier in the competition, closing the show with a repeat of his unique take on John Lennon’s “Imagine.” Cook's “The World I Know,” didn’t stand a chance against that. In the end the younger David overpowered the older David!

My bet David Archuleta is the new American Idol based on their performances in the finale! The votes however will still be counted.
